Indianapolis is the capital city of Indiana as well as the Marion County seat.  Indy as it is affectionately called by it's residents, has a vibrant downtown area where the homes of The Indianapolis Colts, The Indiana Pacers, The Indianapolis Indians and The Indy Eleven Soccer Team are located but it is perhaps best know as The Home of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, The Indianapolis 500!

There are a number of distinctive neighborhoods such as Woodruff Place, Lockerbie, Fountain Square and Fletcher place to name but a few.  Indianapolis is becoming increasingly bicycle friendly with the Monon Trail, The Cultural Trail and more.

Indianapolis has become a foodie destination as well with many local, farm to table options that have received national recognition.  Need some culture to round out your life?  Check out the Indianapolis Art Museum, The Eiteljorg Museum, visit The Indiana Repertory Theater or The Indianapolis Symphony or see a concert at White River Amphitheater.  You can also walk or bicycle along the Canal downtown or rent a bicycle, surrey or Segway.  You can also float along the canal in a gondola or a pedal boat.  Actually all over downtown you will find bike shares and instant car rentals
